Tate turned 7 weeks old today. He has just started to smile. I could just eat him up!

Not only is today the first day of the month, but it's the first day of my month long photo project. I've been inspired by Jen and her fabulous foto february project {which was inspired by another amazing photographer, Kristin}. I'm going to post a photo {or two or five...} of my life everyday for the next 31 days. Why? Because I want to remember the everyday moments. They will only happen this way exactly once. That is a lesson I learned when my first son was 5 weeks old. I was stressed, beyond exhausted and more than a little overwhelmed. Quinn had arrived a few weeks early and was taking a little longer to adjust to the world so he was very fussy. {I think some people call it colic.} My patience was wearing thin in my over-tired haze when I stumbled across a photo of a celebrity's child {I think it was Violet Affleck} and couldn't believe how big she looked. Suddenly it hit me that my tiny 5 week old baby would be 3 years old in the blink of an eye! At that very moment I made a conscious choice to stop, slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy every moment of my son's 5th week of life {crying and all} as he would never again be this teeny tiny. And was I ever right! He is now 2 and a half years old and our new baby Tate is already turning 7 weeks old tomorrow. Where the heck did all that time go??? It is easy to get caught up in our busy, over-scheduled, hectic and crazy lives. Just remember that it is good for the soul to stop and be thankful for the moment ~ especially the everyday moments. So, this month I am ready to freeze time with my camera. I can't wait! This month of photos will be a gift to my boys, to my husband and to me... Our family in photos, March 2010.

Yeah! Great first image! Isn't it true about things flying by too quickly?! My little guy is now FIVE MONTHS OLD! It is crazy. Can't wait to follow your month of photos! Good luck and enjoy!

This was one of my last sessions before I take some time off as I near the birth of my son. I met little Tyler and his mommy and had so much fun with these photos. There is just something about little boys that makes a mommy just fall in love {as I well know}. Tyler will never be short on love from his mommy. Every smile and giggle he gave today was because of his mommy. He only had eyes for her. Thanks so much for spending the afternoon with me and letting me capture this milestone for your little man. Enjoy the sneak peeks!
